Hi, I was wondering if anyone else on here is going to be attending the American Council of the Blind national convention in Phoenix in July?
To be fair, as I've placed the nfb topic at the top of it's board, I shall do the same for this one, and move it to let's talk.
Um, wow, ACB also has a convention? Well, I wish you'd said a bit more about it, or posted a website where one might view information about this convention as well? I am guessing it is nowhere as elaborate as the NFB Convention, as there seems to be no buzz about it. lol
Yes, the Council does have a convention, usually held the first week of July. If you want to learn more about it, go to www.acb.org
Next acb convention is so close it could be in my front yard lol. It's here where I live in Reno. Would like to have a bar-b-q at my place. Would be nice to meet a few zoners if any are going that is.
I wish they'd have one in NY or NJ so that I could go. I bet an ACB convention would be interesting!
Can anyone tell me how large the turnout is for an ACB convention?

I'd actually be interested in connecting with someone who has been to an ACB convention. I'm a Canadian who's considering going this year, and have a few questions.
I think this topic, being a year old, should be unpinned from the board.

I went to the ACB convention last year. It was my first trip and I enjoyed it so much. So many blind people in a hotel... I felt so at home. Lol.
I'm looking forward to Reno! 50th anniversary! Should be good. Anyone else going?
sounds like it will be sorta boring since it's in rino. Maybe if it were in vegas it'd be cooler. I might go though since it's a lot closer to me than Florida is.
